How we verify
Trust and verification
Our travel guide publishes practical, up-to-date travel facts for travelers visiting Sri Lanka. Every fact published on our pages is anchored to a structured evidence lineage and verified before release.
How pages are created
Articles on this site are drafted with artificial intelligence and verified automatically against our database of stored facts and approved official sources before publication. No individual person is named as an author or manual approver. Every published statement must correspond to an active fact in our evidence store.
Stored facts and official sources
We maintain facts across two primary staleness classes:
- Dated facts: Time-sensitive information such as entrance fees, opening hours, train timetables, and park permits.
- Static facts: Geographic coordinates, place classifications, and perennial characteristics.
Our verification engine checks official government gazettes, national park notices, wildlife conservation bulletins, and direct checks to confirm details.
Re-check schedule
Every fact follows a scheduled verification cycle:
- Current: Facts confirmed within the last 90 days.
- May have changed: Facts older than 90 days are flagged with an advisory notice.
- Being re-checked: Facts older than 180 days are flagged as being actively re-verified.
- Under re-check: When a reader reports an inaccuracy, the fact is marked under re-check with its submission date.
Reporting inaccuracies
Readers who notice discrepancies or out-of-date details can click the report link beside any practical fact row to submit a correction report. Reports are reviewed and investigated within two working days.
